African derived honey bees, or Africanized honey bees, are the bee the press calls “killer bees.” However, do they deserve that reputation? In this video, Dr. Ellis discusses the nomenclature for this bee, its biology, and key differences between it and the European derived honey bees favored by many beekeepers.
